Auburn University recognizes the importance of promoting an inclusive and diverse environment that supports the growth and success of all.
The Harrison College of Pharmacy is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. As part of its commitment, the college is focused on three core goals, supporting student admission, support, and retention.
Admission: Develop and implement diversity-focused early assurance admission programs and scholarships to attract and admit diverse, underrepresented, and qualified students into the HCOP PharmD and Graduate Programs.
Support: Tailor curricular to enhance students’ cultural competency and knowledge in DEI. Provide mentoring and tutoring programs to support student organizations as well as underrepresented professional and graduate students.
Retention: Enrich students’ experiences inside and outside the classroom to foster student commitment to DEI efforts through their study, work, network and organizations, and all interactions. Strengthen student mentoring by enhancing advising strategies, such as early warning and intervention systems, for those who may be experiencing difficulties and refer these students to appropriate campus or community resources.
